NI Chapter
The Northern Ireland Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Irish Branch have been in existence for a number of years and is going from strength to strength.
Over the last number of years the Northern Ireland Chapter has hosted and co-sponsored a number of successful events.
Eminent Guest Speakers such as Professor Rudi Klein, Johns Riches, Peter Fenn, Tony Bingham as well as local dignitaries such as Justice Patrick Coghlin, Mark Horner QC, John Thompson QC, to name a few, have all provided their own insight into relevant topics that effect the world of dispute resolution.
As our membership base expands we are active in providing, not only relevant topics for seminars or discussions, but a training platform for new members to join the CIArb and ascend to a higher grade of membership.
Subsequent to the Northern Ireland Chapter AGM held on 12th March 2009, there are a number of courses and events planned for the upcoming year (See Events page). Further details can be received by e-mail if requested.
The Committee retained five Officers to fill the roles required by Chapter Rules, and these are as follows:
- Mr Ian Kirkpatrick, Convenor;
- Mr Mark McAllister, Deputy Convenor;
- Ms Caroline Eccles, Secretary;
- Mr Vincent Campbell, Treasurer / Finance Officer;
- Mr Jarlath Kearney, Public Relations Officer.
Committee meetings are held on a regular basis and are currently open to all members. If you have a particular course or topic for discussion you would enjoy attending, or propose to organize, the Committee would welcome your input.
Details of pending events can be found
